The kick off meeting for the project SMILE PLUS “FirSt and last Mile Inter-modal mobiLity in congested urban arEas of Adrion Region – PLUS” funded by the Interreg Adrion program was organised by the lead partner Reginal development centre Koper, Slovenia on 27th February 2022 and it was held on line, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The four project partners Regional Development Centre Koper, Slovenia, Iuav University of Venice Italy, Dubrovnik Development Agency DURA, Croatia and Regional Agency for Socio-Economic Development – Banat Ltd, Serbia intend to update the mobility scenarios, including the exogenous factor COVID-19, as support to new transport policies. It will allow experts and policy makers to understand the current modifications in modal share and how it is affecting mobility scenarios of the future.
The activities of the Adrion SMILE PLUS project will be concentrated in 4 countries (Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, and Italy) and will update the mobility scenarios, elaborated within the previous Adrion SMILE project. The project partners will also prepare a video-tutorial to facilitate a diffuse use of mobility scenarios.
Meeting and events will be held in person or online to promote a sustainable mobility and increase cohesion and to provide first-hand information on managing and implementing European projects to future beneficiaries, focused on green transition in mobility field, based on Adrion SMILE project as case study.
