The aim of the SMILE PLUS project is to update the mobility scenarios in different part of the Adrion region that were prepared in the SMILE project and adjust them with the post COVID-19 time. DURA agency is in charge to prepare the mobility scenario for the city of Dubrovnik who has been struggling with traffic congestion for a long time. Being a touristic destination and having specific needs in mobility, Dura agency is in charge to prepare an update mobility scenario for the city.  To facilitate the preparation, a survey on mobility and the usage of public transport to the local community was made. As the COVID-19 pandemic has brought different needs and rules, the survey is focused on the differences of the form of transport use before, during and after the pandemic of COVID-19. As the satisfaction of the local population about the organization of public transport is also crucial, part of the survey is also focused on this topic.

The methodology used in the updating mobility scenarios is the same as in SMILE project. Various factors such as territorial context, demographic and socioeconomic data, general state of mobility, transport demand and environmental aspects were considered to collect and process data set as preliminary step to design mobility scenarios.

In 2016 the city of Dubrovnik implemented Smart parking spots and new accordion buses were bought, which are now operating for tourist purposes from Port of Gruž to the Old town in Dubrovnik and back. The introduced innovations have helped to reduce traffic in the city.
